Texas Wiener Races Rules & Regulations

All dogs MUST have a current Rabies Vaccination. Records are required and a copy must be sent in with your registration. If you register on site the day of the race, you will need to have a copy of the Rabies Certificate with you in order to register. No race assignments will be made until shot records are received. 

May bring your dog’s favorite toy. 
No food (human or dog food) allowed in racetrack area. 
No other pets are allowed in racetrack area. 
All dogs MUST be on a leash. 
Owners are required to clean up after their pet. 
No one is allowed to sell any animals at the event. 
Dogs should be on their best behavior (i.e. no fighting or biting). 
Only one owner in the racetrack area. 
No waving blankets or other large items at the start of race. 
The 1st & 2nd place dogs from each race qualify for the finals. 

1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place prizes will be awarded for each event. 

Registrations without signatures will not be processed, and dogs will not be able to participate in the race. Shot Records are required.  Registrations without shot records will not be assigned to a race until shot records are received. If you plan to register on site, you must bring a copy of the shot records to be kept with the registration form. Same rules apply as for the early registrations; registrations without shot records will not be assigned a race until records are received. Current tags will not suffice.


Pet Food Drive

Help animals in need and donate pet food! Pet food donations can be brought to the Spring Preservation League office in Preservation Park. Tuesday - Friday between 10 am and 3:00 pm.
Or during PetFest 2016 to the information booth in Preservation Park
